This new bungalow, sleeping 8, is on the Island of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides (Western Isles) of Scotland at the edge of a secluded, sandy and protected Atlantic beach.
The house has been constructed and fitted-out to STB 5-star self-catering standards. It is ideally located with bird-watching, golf, horse-riding and fishing all available locally. The house is fully-fitted with oil central heating and double-glazing throughout. All fuel and lighting costs are included in the weekly rental rate. All bed linen and towels are supplied. A payphone is fitted operating on BT’s standard tariff. There is ramped access for the disabled.
Accommodation consists of four bedrooms configured as follows: two king-size bedrooms fully en-suite, undertile heating and with sea views; one bedroom with twin adult beds and one bedroom with an adult bunk bed. The latter two bedrooms share a 3rd bathroom containing shower, bath & WHB with an ante-room containing WC, bidet and WHB. All bathrooms contain shaver sockets and all bedrooms contain a TV and hair-dryer. A cot is available by prior request at the time of booking.
The kitchen area, living area and dining area all form part of a single open-plan space. French doors can further extend this space into the seaward-facing conservatory giving superb sea-and-sunset views.
The kitchen is breakfast-bar style and is fitted with ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer / tumble-dryer. A chest freezer is located in the entrance porch. A full range of electrical and non-electrical kitchen utensils are supplied.
The adjacent living area incorporates a widescreen TV incorporating satellite TV, a DVD & VCR. A CD & tuner hi-fi are installed. A range of DVDs, videos and CDs are supplied, together with a small library of books. Seating is on two large sofas. There is a real fire burning coal or peat.
The dining area seats eight adults in comfort. All crockery & cutlery are supplied. A high-chair is available.
The conservatory comprises a coffee table and two sofas – ideal for watching the sunset while enjoying an after dinner drink.
